It’s been almost two months since the Scottish independence referendum. Residents of Scotland voted not to leave the United Kingdom, but the work is not over. The Better Together campaign made promises of additional devolved powers. British Prime Minster David Cameron announced that Lord Smith of Kelvin would oversee the process of devolving more powers from Westminster. Cameron hinted that changes could affect more than just Scotland. Draft legislation will be introduced by January 25. This legislation will change the United Kingdom.
